The State Bar has over 8,100 members and was incorporated in 1978. The State Bar is governed by a Board of Bar Commissioners, all of whom are licensed attorneys in New Mexico. The State Bar promotes the interests of the legal profession and works to improve the relationships between the profession and the public.
